From Soria take the N-111 direction to Logroño and, about 20 km, diverting to the locality of Almarza. Cross the urban core and, direction to the Holly-tree of Garagüeta, move forward through the road around 7 km up to the detour which drives to Torrearévalo. Once there we are up to the church where the house is.
26 km from the North of the city of Soria. There is a small village located on the feet of the Mountain Chain of “Montes Claros”, between the ports Piqueras and Oncala. In this settlement is located the holly tree of Garagüeta, one of the biggest mass of holly of Eurpoe in an exceptional conservation state. In the square of the village there is an Interpretation Room of the Holly where guided visit to the holly tree can be made, which is declared declared Natural Reserve. In this village the philosopher Julián Sanz del Río was born, introducer of the krausismo in Spain that both influenced the Free Institution of Education.
15 km far away is the Dinosaurs Footprints Route where you can see the Footprints of the dinosaurs; excellent collection of tapestry of Oncala whose pictures are from Rubens, or the site of Numancia with the rebuilding and setting of a Celtiberian house and other Romanesque depending on the habits of the time. In this locality is the airfield of Garray that lets set up national and European flights.
If you practice hiking, skiing in the surroundings, the routes of GR and PR run over there, the Peaks Urbión and the Mountain Chain Cebollera where, coinciding with the autumn, you can hear the bellow and enjoy the different mycology of the area.
